Under Construction

The requested URL was not found on this server. There are so many reasons that this might have happened I can scarcely bring myself to type them all out. You might have typed the URL incorrectly, for instance.
Or (less likely but certainly plausible) I might have coded the URL incorrectly.
Or (far less plausible, but theoretically possible, depending on which ill-defined Grand Unifying Theory of physics one subscribes to), some random fluctuation in the space-time continuum might have produced a shatteringly brief but nonetheless real electromagnetic discombobulation which caused this error page to appear.
Or (and truth be told, this is by far the most likely scenario) you might have reached a page that I meant to create but didn't get around to it. However if you wait long enough i might do the neccesary changes. :) Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours trully and sincerely, Santi

computer upgrades

yup, believe it or not but that HUMONGOUS thing you have up there is a hard disk, scary right??? TYJ that nowadays they make them super small and we can have laptops! but it's so funny how even though the most advanced technology is so stoneage compared to the one they have in the spiritual realm and wich we have been granted access and control to it! just think about thought travel, and mental power to really move things, to fly, that is really high tech, not what we have here on earth :P it really is amazing, TYJ for availing us with the most powerful technology ever! the spiritual weapons ROCK! and also for making the best and biggest hard drive ever, our brain! nothing can compare to Your creation Lord :D

but anyway, back to the topic, i finally upgraded my laptop's hard disk, been waiting for the holidays to do this for a loong time, TYJ that the exams and the studying is over!! now i can have some more free time or myself and my friends :D
so as i was saying, i recently got to upgrade my laptop's hard disk, it was starting to get small with all the music i have in here and the data and the downloads etc etc, so i decided to put a 120 gb hard disk, another imrpoovement is that this one runs at 5400 rpm, while the previous one only did at 4200, nice improovement i must say, but that's not all, my old hard disk was not put in a shelf to get covered in dust no, it was used to upgrade my sister's laptop, her previous hard disk was a laughable 40 gigs, now she has a decent sized 80 gigs hard disk, quite the improovement for her :D she's happy with the change, now no one will laugh at her computer :P (that goes for you prem!) but Ely's old hard disk was not put in a shelf eather, i bought a hard disk case to convert it into an external USB hard disk, so inow have 160 gigabytes to fill!! anyone wants to send me anything? :D now is the time!

oh, i also got to learn how to make hard disk images and pass them from one computer to another, really spiffy, and my brother in law Jan, gave me this utilites bot disk that is like the swiss knife of camputer techs, it's the Hiren's boot cd, full of tools to almost do any conceivable tweak, repair or upgrade conceivable, i highly recommend it, if you want a copy of it, please do write me and i'll send it to you ;) here i give you a link to give a look to all the utilities it has: http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd i have to igg deeper into ti though to learn how to use them all, i'm sure it will come handy some other time ;)

Exams and AIP kickoff

ok... i guess it took me more than a week to write again but i have been doing lots and lots of things let's see where do i start... ok, the days after i made my last post i was studying a lot because of the upcoming exam of access to University that i had the 2nd and 3rd of june in the city of Lisbon in Portugal. Here you can see me just as i was coming out of the place where i was doing the exams.

anyway, i have the faith that i've passed them :P, though i'll get the results on the 21st, pray for it!
after that we went to the city of Badajoz and stayed there from the 3rd till the 6th for Ely's exams, pray that she passes them too... it's important.

right after those we went to Plasencia for a few days to pick as much cherries as we could before the 9th when we would leave for Madrid with my niece Elaine to pick a plane on the 11th for the AIP's kick off in Porto wich would last till the 13th when we would make our way back to Plasencia for more cherry picking :P

the AIP kick off held in Portugal was really great, there i got to see old friends and make some new ones that i hope to keep for a long time :) it was a really fun and uniting experience.
the first day when we arrived, we were picked up at the airport by some sweet FGA friends wich i hadn't seen some for months and others for years! can you believe it! the first place that they took us to was bowling, fun!!
here are some pictures of the event with al of us posing ;) (please, don't mind the poor quality)

by the time we finished it was already lunch time and the dear members of the home that hosted us provisioned a meal of tasty chicken with french fries and rice wih gave us the strength to endure the tiresome afternoon of soccer that ensued

after the tiring soccer game we all took showers had dinner and went to the beach for an inspiring evening singing songs around a bonfire we made :D sadly to say, i don't have any pictures of the event :(

next day we rose up at 9. no, it' not that we were lazy to start the day... it's just that we went to bed quite late the day before :P the morning started with some delicious croissants with butter and strawberry jam, and after that the morning kicked in first with JJT's and then with a beautiful inspiration led by the inspiring and fun Ready after wich followed some word time and reading about this years AIP and mainly encauraging the jetts to keep on the revolution and do more this year than all the previous ones!
when the wordtime was done, it was already time to prepare for our picnic outside in the woods! in wich we gobbled down the food and played soccer for the rest of the afternoon, a really bonding activity in wich young people of all ages and both genders participated with much enthusiasm.
when the night time arrived and after eating a nice dinner we setted out to watch a fun movie all together with snacks, we sure had a laugh watching the movie! i love Robin Williams :P
but it's amazing how fast the time passes and after such a nice evening, the next morning we came to the realization that it was over... :( we had to wake up at half past 6 to go to the airport and there were much tears and hugs saying goodbye to all the sweet people we had been with the past 2 days, and some of the most astute people, gathered e-mails of all the people there to keep tabs on them while at home.

all in all it was a memorable time we got to spend there, the ony thing we regret, as always, is that it didn't last longer :P but PTL! we can all now look forward to next gathering!

(photo caption: my new friend Victoria with me beeing goofy :P doesn't she have a luvable smile?? )

the return of the prodigal son!

Yup my dear friends, that's how i'm feeling right now for having neglected you all for... woah! a whopping amount of 2 months! now that's some serious slacking from my part... wich i inted to amend. i will resume posting at least once a week from now on :D

so, you might be all wondering what have i been up to, and well, to be honest, i have been quite busy studying for the exams during the month of april, then i had my exams at the begining of may, more exactly the 2nd, the 7th and the 8th of may, these were the last exams of the year YAY!!! aren't you happy for me?? :D and the best part is that yesterday i got the grades for those exams! and i passed them all!!!! TYJ!!! now i've officially passed college! it really wasn't me, i must confess... it was definately all a BIG miracle from the Lord, he did some pretty awesome and cool miracles for me :D wich is some more proof that He really wants me to leave everything and serve Him and give my life to Him 110% for this summer, now aint that neat? :D if i would have failed only one of those exams, i might have had to wait till september for that... and i didn't really want that... so i was a bit desperate, and the Lord came through and here i am! i got an overall of 7.25 out of 10 on this year's grade, and a 7.5 overall betwen last year and this year. but again it has ALL been Him, wouldn't have been able to do it without Him He sure is a real pal to count on!

now off to other accounts, these past 2 weeks, since i came back from the Exams, i have also been quite busy, fist studying for the really last exams that i hope to do, wich are the ones fo access to university, now don't freak out, i'm not thinking of throwing away my calling of beeing a missionary to study a career, it's just that you only have to do this exam once in your life, and it's about the things i just studied in this past year, so i guess it's better to take the exam now than to leave it for some other time. the exams will be the 2nd and 3rd of june and i will be doing them in Lisbon, Portugal (pray for them too if u fell burdened too :) and then, i've also been quite busy picking cherries :P
no, it's not a joke, right now i'm in south western Spain, in a city called Plasencia, near the border with Portugal, in the valley of Jerte, now this valley is almost solely dedicated to the cherry production, and my parents happen to have 2 fields with cherry trees, and it's cherry time! so we go a few days in the week to pick them up, clasify them, measure them, and then put them in boxes and sell them. this valley has the biggest cherry production in Spain, and the cherries grown here are then transported to all corners of Europe, so if you happen to see some cherries in your local supermarket check if they come from Spain, and if they do, then thikn of me :P and pray that i don't fall from the trees while picking them!
here i post a picture of me beeing a cherry-picking monkey ;) let's just state for the record that it's not the best picture you might have seen of me, in fact it's quite bad, but it's the only one i have...

we normally get an average of 20 kgs of cherries every day (believe me... that is a quite a lot, more than you would like to see together) and we're actually starting to get tired of the cherries, as good as they are, when you pick so many, and eat so many, you start to grow tired and some even sick of them, but i must say that their taste is exceptional ;)you should come over here drop by for a few days and taste them to understand.
the process of picking them and classifying is quite laborious, because first you have to pick them up risking your life in the trees, then when you're so tired from beeing up there that your legs start to shake, you go back home wich is normally for dinner time, then you have dinner, and a few moments after you've finished it's time to start clasifying them and putting them in hard boxes to be sold the next morning on your way to pick more :P
clasifying them, first you have to take those affected by bugs or picked by the birds, then the remnant ones you have to clasify them by sizes, and by the time you finish doing all that and cleaning all the mess left behind after classifying them, it's already time for bed, and don't have time to get on internet to write on your blog or talk much with your friends...
that's what's been happening lately, and i really am sorry! i'll try to keep in touch with you all more often from now on....

anyway, enough of cherries, let's move to some other topics. you might be asking yourself where am i going to go this summer to join FD missionary life, and to be honest, i've been praying about it these past weeks, but i still don't have it that clear, all that i know is that the Lord has showed me to stay around Europe, so i had to say goodbye to my dreams of going back to Mexico... sniff sniff.. or going to some far away land like china, and learn chinese... or ask to join my friends in the Prophet Bus... but i guess the Lord knows best, and He might have something even better planned for me, somewhere where i will be able to learn all the lessons tha He wants me to :D and become just what He destined and designed me for, where i will fit the best :) the centre of His will. i will let you all know where that is as soon as i know it :)

oh well my friends, it's time for the goodbyes again, i have to write a few e-mails to some of you and chat with some others, but hopefully you'll be seeing some more of me soon!

much love, Santi

The Soldier's Creed

I am a soldier, a prayer warrior, of the army of my God. The lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, Prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and i am enlisted for eternity. I will rather retire in this army at the Rapture or die in this army; but i will not get out, sell out, or be talked out. I am faithful, capable, and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there.

I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up, or pepped up. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me.

I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His Kingdom!

I am commited. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into this army, i had nothing. If I end with nothing, I will still come out even. I will win. My God will supply al my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ.

I am a soldier. Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me.

I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to a captain and then bring me back to rule this world with Him.

I am a soldier, in the army, and I’m marching, claiming vitory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. Here i stand! Will you stand with me?.

Author unknown.

May we all take this soldier's creed to heart, and commit ourselves to be a warrior for the Christ's cause. I personally am going to print it and read it every morning :)

The Art of War

So what if you’re feeling lousy? So what?

Are you going to give up? Are you going to quit? Are you going to surrender to the damn Devil? Hell, no! Show him you haven’t even begun to fight yet! What did John Paul Jones do? His arm was nearly shot off, his men were being killed, his ship was wrecked, and when the enemy asked if he wanted to surrender, what did he say? “Okay, i’ve had enough; sure, come on over, boys” No! He said, “Hell no! No! No! No! No, i’m not going to surrender! No, I’m not going to give up!” He was willing to go down with the ship, he was so sure he was on the winning side.

You’re on the winning side! Don’t give up now! Show the Enemy you’re not going to surrender. Show him you’re willing to go down with the ship. Keep fighting! Are you supposed to quit when you’re hardest hit? No! You’re supposed to keep fighting! You want to learn to love the fight? Well, then fight! Fight! Fight with everything within you! Fight until your last breath. God loves a fighter.

You’re like the guy in that song where it says, “So you’re caught in the midst of a battle saying, ‘I must’ve done sme awful sin!’” Well, brother, if you didn’t expect to go to was, why did you join the army? You joined because you were willing to live and die for Jesus! That’s what Christian soldiers do. They live for the Lord and they die for the Lord. Whatever they do they do it all for the Lord! So to hell with the Devil and his attacks. So what? Keep going! Keep doing your best. Keep serving Jesus. If the Enemy whacks off your arm, you still have another arm and two legs, right? Look at it that way!

You’re a live one! Can’t you see that? You’re a live one – one who wants to grow in the Lord, one who loves the Lord. So if you want to grow, you have to be willing to be trained, willing to learn what you need to know to do the job He’s called you to do. It’s all part of the job description. “Think it not strange concerning the fiery trials wich is to try you” (1Pet. 4:12).

When you pray and ask the Lord to do something in your life, you shouldn’t be too surpised when the trials start coming in like a flood afterwards. So what did you recently pray? To be a better fighter, to love the fight, right? Well, welcome to the battleground! You’ve prayed and told the Lord you want to make more progress, that you want a solid victory, that you believe He can totally deliver you from some of these things. Why are you surprised that the Enemy is coming in like a flood? If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen! If you aren’t willing to pay the price and go all the way, don’t start the building. If you go, go all the way!

If you’re doing it right, the devil will fight! He’s fighting you! He’s fighting you! Give him a swift kick where it hurts! Show a little “umph” if you want to triumph. You can do it! Amen? Amen! I love you! Keep fighting!
